We asked Prottoy a few questions to get to know him a bit better…

What do you like to do for fun when you’re not working?
I enjoy travelling. I also like listening to pop music- Sam Smith, Ed Sheeran, Adele, and some Pink. I enjoy watching SciFi shows on Netflix, but also those British murder mysteries and detective shows.

I am also a fan of Marvel, but not all of Marvel. I like Iron Man in particular because of how he was portrayed. He is a character that doesn’t care that much of what other people think of him. He was solely focused on his purpose and ensuring that he was making the world a better place.

What would you sing at Karaoke night?
I like a song called I’m Gonna Be (500 miles) by Proclaimers. The song has a good rhythm and has a good vibe. The lyrics are also very nice- it’s kinda romantic, but also talks about life- your goals, your dreams.

What is the one website (or app) you can’t live without?
Google Maps. I’m not good at directions so Google Maps saves me a lot.

What is your favourite part of working from home?
I love the flexibility and that I don’t need to spend 2 hours a day commuting. I could use that time to do something better like spending it with my family or resting.

What is your favourite restaurant or go-to food in Sydney?
Dragon Hot Pot, Dee dee Thai Restaurant, and Dodee Paidang Thai Street Food
I like Thai & Chinese food because of the flavours and its aroma, and variation. In particular, I like spicy food a lot.

What attracted you to ProQuest?
I was attracted to ProQuest because of its values and mission that it has. ProQuest is also one of the highly reputable consulting firms in Australia, and when I onboarded, the culture was something where I felt like I definitely fit. During the interview process, it was very smooth, and Olivia did a great job making us feel very comfortable.

What is your favourite part about working at ProQuest so far?
This quote also resonated well with me, being in ProQuest.
We are not a team because we work together. We are a team because we trust, respect and care for each other.” -Vala Afshar

Everyone in ProQuest is so welcoming and so supportive. The people, the process, and the culture- everything is laid out so properly.

Welcome aboard, Prottoy! Your dynamic talents and fresh perspectives are a fantastic addition to the ProQuest family. We’re eager to see the energy and innovation you will bring to our team and clients.
