New Employee Experience Assistant: Meet Corina

Meet our new Employee Experience Assistant Corina! She keeps Oporto in business, has an eye for interior design and is Spotify’s biggest fan!  She’s already had such a big impact on the team in such a short space of time – we’re excited to see her grow at ProQuest.

We asked her a few questions…

What do you like to do for fun when you’re not working?
When I’m not working I enjoy spending time with my friends and family and organising fun events with them such as trying new restaurants, game nights, movie marathons, or cooking together. When I’m not hanging out with them, I particularly enjoy reading, creating interior design Pinterest boards, watching Friends or The Office, and crocheting!

What would you sing at karaoke night?
It’s hard to pick just one thing I would sing at a Karaoke night as my music taste is quite widespread, but I would definitely have to sing ‘Since U Been Gone’ by Kelly Clarkson, ‘Treasure’ by Bruno Mars, or ‘Why You Wanna Treat Me So Bad’ by Prince.

What is the one website (or app) you can’t live without?
Spotify is definitely the one app I couldn’t live without because it allows me to create playlists for my every mood, listen to any genre, and it also recommends music I might be interested in based on what I most frequently listen to which makes it easier to discover new artists.

What is your favourite part of working from home?
Working from home has its many benefits, but my favourite thing would have to be the easy access to a kitchen where I can make home cooked meals for lunch and snack as I please throughout the day.

What is your favourite restaurant or go-to food in Sydney?
If I’m ever stuck on what to eat, my go to food is always Oporto (My usual order: 5 Bondi Bites with Lemon and Herb sauce) or this food truck called Rice and Rolls located in Lansvale (My usual order: BBQ Chicken Rice Combo)

What attracted you to ProQuest?
ProQuests’ people first approach, core values, and overall working environment/culture is what first caught my eye and attracted me to apply for their open internship role. After many weeks of searching and applying for roles, they were the only company that stuck out to me as a place that truly encourages their employees to excel both personally and professionally, creating a ProQuest family!

What is your favourite part about working at ProQuest so far?
My favourite part about working at ProQuest so far has definitely been the people. They are such an inviting, friendly, uplifting, and talented group of people who I am extremely thankful to have the chance to learn from and grow with. I have never felt so welcomed in a workplace, and I am extremely grateful to have received this opportunity to not only perform this exciting role but to also be a part of a work family.
