Winter 25 Updates: Field Service Updates

Field Service is critical for businesses that need to coordinate mobile workers and deliver timely services to customers.

  1. Dispatcher Copilot: Allow dispatchers to easily summarise appointments with exceptions, rule violations, or overlaps.

Dispatchers can now easily reschedule appointments without manually combing through every entry in the dispatch console, and using GANTT filters to speed up issue resolution.

Requirement: Einstein 1 Field Service Edition.

  1. Post Work Summary: Copilot helps field workers document completed work quickly and clearly, ensuring essential details are recorded for other team members.

This feature ensures consistent, legible post-work documentation, streamlining communication between field and office teams. They can also analyse common themes and insights from service notes, particularly cancellations

Requirement: Einstein 1 Field Service Edition.

  1. Reshuffling High Priority Appointments: The system can adjust time slots for high-importance tasks and reassign resources as needed.

No more manual juggling of appointments. This feature ensures high-priority tasks are handled first, making scheduling smarter and more efficient.

Available for Field Service users.

  1. On Field Payments: Field workers can now collect payments on the go using PayNow and Tap to Pay via LWC.

Instant payments reduce delays and streamline the customer experience. This is a game-changer for field teams looking to speed up the payment process, from job completion to payment, right in the field.

Requirement: Salesforce PayNow and Payment licenses.

  1. Location-Triggered Platform Flows: Silently prepopulate geo-located fields and initiate related processes without requiring manual action.

Automatically trigger workflows when field technicians arrive on site, saving time and reduces the chance of human error, letting technicians focus on the job rather than administrative tasks.

  1. New Builder App in Field Service Mobile: allows users to customise the look and feel of the Field Service Mobile app, including navigation and menu options.

It gives businesses more flexibility in how their field workers interact with the mobile app, tailoring it to suit specific workflows and user preferences.

That wraps up our Winter 25 series! From Admin Essentials and Flow Enhancements to Sales Cloud, Experience Cloud, Service Cloud, and Field Service, these updates are designed to help you get the most out of your Salesforce platform.
