Meet Hunter, the outbound AI sales agent that finds your next deal and keeps it moving.

Ask your inside sales team where their week goes.

Building lists. Checking LinkedIn. Exporting spreadsheets from one tool and pasting them into another. Hunting for the right person at each account, then working out if now's a good time to call.

Across a whole team, that research can take weeks. And it's out of date almost as soon as it's done.

Hunter is built to take it off their hands.

Just before Dreamforce, Salesforce announced 7 job-ready AI agents. Two of them are for sales. Piper works inbound, answering the people who come to you. Hunter is the outbound AI sales agent. It enriches your CRM with outside data, researches the accounts worth chasing, finds the right people, and keeps following up for weeks.

Who Hunter is for and how it works

Hunter is for sales teams with more accounts to research and follow up than people to do it.

At its heart, Hunter is 3 things working together.

  • First, built-in data enrichment. Hunter fills the gaps in your CRM with up-to-date details from ZoomInfo, Apollo, and Demandbase, its flagship data partners: who works where, company news, and who’s showing interest. It combines that with your Salesforce data, with no separate data contracts.
  • Second, a plan it sticks to. You give Hunter a sales goal, like re-engaging at-risk deals before the end of the quarter. It turns that into a measurable target and a step-by-step plan, then keeps working on it for weeks, picking up where it left off.
  • Third, rules you set. Every plan spells out when Hunter can act on its own and when it must ask a rep first. It sends emails from your account, with your permission. And you can change its approach just by telling it.

When an email bounces or something changes at an account, Hunter adjusts the plan. So the work keeps moving.

Hunter is in pilot now, and Salesforce plans to make it generally available in November 2026. We’re excited to get it into the hands of Australian sales teams. Pricing hasn’t been announced yet.

What that looks like for your sales team

  • Tells your reps which accounts to call first. It ranks your accounts by who’s showing interest right now, like a company researching what you sell. Your reps start each day with the hottest ones at the top.
  • Finds the decision-makers you’re missing. If there’s a new finance lead or security reviewer at an account, Hunter finds them and adds their details to Salesforce.
  • Flags the best time to get in touch. When an account raises money, hires a new head of sales or makes the news, Hunter tells your reps it’s a good moment to reach out.
  • Writes a tailored first email for each account. Each one draws on the account’s history and latest news, not a generic template.
  • Follows up on deals that have gone quiet. In Salesforce’s own example, a rep asks Hunter to re-engage $340k of at-risk pipeline by quarter-end. When something changes at a stalled account, Hunter picks it back up.
  • Keeps your customer records complete and current. Missing contacts, outdated job titles, gaps in company details. Hunter enriches your Salesforce records with verified data as it works, so nobody has to look it up and type it in.

That's the research your team does by hand today, across 5 tabs and a spreadsheet. Hunter keeps doing it in the background, so your reps spend their time talking to buyers.

How far can it go? At Perk, a travel and spend management company, Hunter now builds 60% of the sales pipeline.

Before Hunter: what building an outbound sales agent taught us at ProQuest

Hunter is new. Outbound AI agents aren't.

Last Yard was taking its business into new markets around the world, and needed to reach retailers it had never spoken to. In 2025, we built it an AI agent on Salesforce to do the groundwork:

  • It writes a personalised first email to each prospect, using what's in the CRM and what's public.
  • A person on the sales team reviews every first email before it goes out.
  • It sends three follow-ups, timed to each prospect's time zone.
  • The moment someone replies, it stops and hands the conversation to the team.

"Salesforce Agentic AI has enabled us to launch a global SDR function," says Pieter Reede, Last Yard's VP Global Growth.

Here’s what we took away from it:

  • Clear rules make for better emails, faster. AI can draft an email in seconds. Getting it to draft the right one takes groundwork. Set the tone, the key messages, and what the agent can and can’t say, before it sends a thing. The clearer those rules, the more it gets right first time, and the less your team has to fix.
  • The emails are only as good as the data behind them. The agent personalises each message from the CRM. Where the records were complete, the emails were sharp. Where they weren’t, a person had more to fix.
  • Trust is built one email at a time. Starting with a person checking every first email gives the team confidence in what the agent sends. Once the drafts are consistently right, you can give it more room.

An outbound agent is only as good as the judgement you give it.

We built Last Yard’s agent from the ground up. Hunter comes ready-made, with the outbound sales skills already built in.

That means any sales team on Salesforce can have an outbound agent working quickly, without building one from scratch. We’re excited to help Australian businesses do exactly that.

Getting ready for Hunter

Hunter arrives in November. Here's what to do before then:

  • Define what a good-fit account looks like. Industry, size, location, the problems you solve best. Hunter ranks accounts using live signals, so tell it which ones are worth ranking.
  • Start with deals you already have. Re-engaging quiet deals in your pipeline is lower risk than cold outreach. The buyer already knows you, and you'll see results faster.
  • Clean up the deals Hunter will work on. Update stages, close the ones that are dead and check the contacts are still there, so Hunter spends its time on deals that can still be won.
  • Decide what needs a human yes. Which accounts, deal sizes and messages should never go out without a rep's sign-off? Agree on it now, so it's in the plan from day one.
  • Show it how your best reps write. Pull together a handful of follow-up emails that actually got replies. That's the tone Hunter should copy.
  • Put a number on the goal. Meetings booked, deals re-opened, or pipeline revived this quarter. Hunter works to a measurable target, so give it one you can track.

The best deals aren’t always the ones you already know about.

Hunter finds them, and keeps the conversation going for as long as it takes.

Your next big win could already be in your pipeline. Let's look at it together and get it ready for Hunter.
