Meet Meghana: New Salesforce Functional Consultant
Meghana Gurani started her Salesforce career right after her graduation, joining a major tech company as a Developer. She spent 3 years building on the platform, including projects involving CPQ. After moving to Australia, she transitioned into a Salesforce Administrator, picking up the functional and configuration side of Salesforce to go with her technical background.
Now, she’s bringing that mix of technical and functional experience to her new role as a Salesforce Functional Consultant at ProQuest.
Here's how she got there, what drew her to consulting and what she’s already bringing to the table.
What Meghana loves about Salesforce
What keeps her interested in the Salesforce ecosystem is the platform’s exceptional adaptability.
For almost every business challenge, there can be several ways to approach it. Sometimes the answer is a straightforward out-of-the-box configuration. Other times, a customised solution could be the better fit.
Meghana enjoys working through those possibilities, understanding the requirements behind the request, and finding a solution that is both practical and effective.
She got an early opportunity to put that approach into practice during her time as an Administrator. She was handed a project to solve a manual process where a team was creating support cases one by one from social media comments. Meghana found a way to integrate the process with another tool so that cases could be created automatically based on defined criteria.
The result was a much more streamlined process and a very happy client.
Why she chose ProQuest
Going forward into the next stage of her career, Meghana was looking for a more permanent opportunity when a recruiter she had connected with on LinkedIn introduced her to an opening at ProQuest.
What followed was a unique application process, but what ultimately attracted her to ProQuest was the opportunity to grow further into a functional, consultant-focused role without leaving her technical experience behind.

Outside of work, she loves exploring Sydney with her husband, discovering scenic spots, going on coastal walks, beach hopping, and whatever's new that week.
And when she’s not out exploring, there’s a good chance she’s at home binge-watching a Netflix series, especially a good K-drama.
