Meet Aaron: New Functional Consultant

Aaron Slater joins ProQuest with four years of Salesforce experience, most recently focused on sales systems, process improvement, and large-scale project delivery.

Before ProQuest, Aaron spent nine years at a major Australian construction company, working his way from the contact centre into a Sales Systems Business Partner role. He owned sales processes, systems training, and business requirements for the sales team. His biggest project: a 12-month CPQ rollout across 200+ users, which he led from requirements gathering through UAT, deployment, and post-go-live enhancements. End-to-end ownership, start to finish.

What he enjoys on the Salesforce side

Aaron gravitates toward building Flows. There's something satisfying, he says, about spotting a better way to run manual processes. It's the kind of thinking that fits well here.

He's also upfront about where he's still building his skills. Visualforce and Apex are areas he's keen to develop, and he's already tapping into the ProQuest team to get there. That kind of attitude goes a long way.

What brought him to ProQuest

Aaron was ready for a step up after reaching a plateau in his previous role. A former colleague pointed him toward ProQuest, and the decision was easy. He's here for the exposure, the growth, and the chance to work across different industries and customers.

A bit more about Aaron

Outside of work, he's an avid hiker who completed the Kokoda Challenge, a 55km charity hike, in 15 hours through heavy rain. He also plays golf, reads constantly, and recommends Grit by Angela Duckworth to anyone who'll listen.

TapWorks in Chermside is his spot, with his go-to order being buffalo wings. Away from the trails and the golf course, you'll find him on YouTube enjoying how-to videos. Curiosity doesn't switch off after 5pm.

Join us in welcoming Aaron to the ProQuest family! We’re excited to have him on board and can’t wait to see the impact he’ll make. 🎉
