Rejoining the Team: Wesley’s Story Comes Full Circle

We’re thrilled to welcome Wesley back to the ProQuest team!

After spending time exploring new challenges and growing his skills in the consulting world, he’s rejoined us with a fresh perspective and renewed energy.

We caught up with him to chat about why he returned, what he’s excited about, and what makes ProQuest feel like home.

Taking the Leap and Learning Lots

Wesley started his consulting career right here at ProQuest, joining as an Associate Consultant. He advanced to Senior Functional Consultant, developing deep expertise and fostering strong relationships along the way.

Like many consultants who hit their stride, he reached a point where he wanted to stretch further. He stepped out to experience a different environment, gain exposure to new ways of working, and challenge himself in unfamiliar territory.

That time away was packed with learning. He observed how other companies addressed problems, managed projects differently, and allocated responsibilities. It gave him a broader view of the industry and sharpened his skills even more.

What Drew Wesley Back

Wesley’s return to ProQuest began with a simple catch-up call. A former teammate reached out one evening, and the idea of coming back to ProQuest came up naturally in conversation.

At the same time, a major enterprise project had just opened up at ProQuest. It was exactly the kind of opportunity Wesley had been looking for: challenging, meaningful, and the perfect next step in his growth.

The timing was right, but it wasn’t just the work that drew him in. It was the people.

Wesley had built real friendships here. He missed the conversations, the collaboration, and that feeling of being part of a team that truly backs each other.

Culture That Just Makes Sense

On his first day back at ProQuest, Wesley didn’t feel like a first day at all. From the moment he logged in, it was like he had never left. He already knew the people, the team knew him, and he was straight into the work.

The same supportive, can-do energy was still there, and it felt easy to jump back in. People are quick to help, whether it’s jumping in on a problem or pointing someone to the right place to find answers. It creates an environment where it’s easy to focus and keep learning along the way.

Wesley also mentioned how much he values the day-to-day culture. Things like the help channel where people post tips, or the PQ Academy where people share their learnings and make upskilling quicker. There’s a natural rhythm of collaboration that makes it easy to ask questions and stay sharp.

Innovation is a big part of it too. What stood out to Wesley is how involved the management team is in driving it. They are not just talking about change, they are making it happen. From exploring AI tools to putting the latest Salesforce platforms and features like Agentforce into practice, new ideas are part of the workflow. It is not about chasing trends but about finding better ways to work, deliver, and grow.

Thinking of Joining? Here’s What to Know

For anyone thinking about joining ProQuest, here’s what Wesley had to say:

“The bar is high. The projects are complex and fast-paced. You will be working with enterprise clients and alongside some of the most skilled consultants in Field Service and Agentforce.

But you will never be alone.

The team is supportive, the expectations are clear, and the culture is built to help you succeed. You will learn a lot, and you will grow quickly. The challenges are real, but so is the support.”

Welcome back, Wesley. We’re glad you’re home.
