New Customer Experience Architect: Meet Stéphane
Meet our new Customer Experience Architect, Stéphane With. Stéphane has an impressive background, bringing a breadth of experience in marketing automation, design and consulting. He began his career back in France after receiving his Master's in design and multimedia, and quickly made a name for himself as an Art Director for one of the world's leading waterproofing companies. Since moving to Australia nine years ago, he’s ran his own digital agency and joined a startup in the HR tech industry as their first full-time employee where he was responsible for all marketing activities, including the successful implementation of Pardot.
Recently, Stéphane has dealt with first-tier brands on their business challenges and helped them align their MarTech & AdTech strategy, combining data, technology and content to drive improved business outcomes. He is a marketing automation advocate, and an expert in both Pardot and Marketing Cloud.
We’re incredibly lucky to have Stéphane on our team, and we can’t wait to start building great customer experiences together.
Welcome to the ProQuest family, Stéphane!
Here’s how he answered our questionnaire:
What do you like to do for fun when you’re not working?
I love being out and about. From going for walks, heading to the beach for a surf, or going scuba diving, I am definitely an outdoor person! I also always try to be up to date with the latest restaurants, bars, clubs, concerts… so my weekends are usually a mix of both.
What would you sing at karaoke night?
I'm a pretty bad singer, but I would say, without hesitation, "Stand By Me" by B. B. King.
Tell us something we don’t know about you?
I have alway been fascinated by entrepreneurship and technology. I opened my first business with two friends of mine, brothers, back in uni. We had this idea to do free online flash games… people could win an Xbox or PlayStation, things like that. It was called "MonkyJeux.com" (the domain "monkeyjeux.com" was already taken).
We didn't have it for long, but it worked really well. A lot better than we expected. Eventually, we didn't have time to run it anymore, so we sold it.
What is the one website (or app) you can’t live without?
Linkedin is a pretty obvious one! I spend a lot of time on it; this is where I stay up to date with the latest marketing and technology news and also connect with people in my industry. Regarding apps, I am a big fan of TED and Trello. TED is the app of the eponym media organisation. I very often spend my time in public transport listening to the talks.
Trello is a project management platform great for work but I also use it to plan my holiday or a buck's weekend I am currently planning for a friend. It is my one repository where I put all the info, available on all my devices and I love how collaborative it is.
What is your favourite place to go in Sydney?
I lived in Balmain for a few years and it’s still one of my favourite places in Sydney. I like taking the ferry from there to Cockatoo Island and then walking around the island. I also really like the view from Dudley Page Reserve at Dover Heights. I highly recommend going there with a blanket and a drink to watch the sunset.
What is your favourite restaurant or go-to food in Sydney?
That's a tricky question, there are too many to choose from. If I was doing a foodie day, I would probably start by having breakfast at Three Blue Ducks in Bronte, have lunch at Kazbah or Efendy in Balmain, go for dinner at nel. I’d finish with a drink and a Jazz session at Low 302 in Surry Hills.
What attracted you to ProQuest?
The people! Every single person I met prior to joining ProQuest were always very energetic, genuine and with a great ethic. One of my favourite mottos is, "Teamwork makes the dream work" and ProQuest breathes that. It played a big role in deciding to join ProQuest.
What is your favourite part about working at ProQuest so far?
I started last week so it's a tricky one. On top of the team environment, I would say that the location of the office in the heart of Sydney just two minutes walk from Circular Quay is hard to beat! I also feel that there is a big drive on innovation, challenging the status quo and striving to deliver great outcomes for our customers. This is very inspiring!
