Meet Kate: New Employee Experience Manager

Meet our newest team member, Kate Renner! Kate recently moved to Sydney from San Francisco where she worked for a few different tech companies, including Salesforce. Kate joins us as Employee Experience Manager. What does that mean? It means Kate will be fully dedicated to making ProQuest Consulting an even better place to work, continuously developing our culture, ensuring everyone lives and breathes our core values, and looking after our amazing team so they have the best experience possible. We can tell already that she's going to be a great addition to our team – as well as a lot of fun to be around.

We had Kate answer a few questions about herself, so keep reading to see what she had to say!

What do you like to do for fun when you’re not working?

In my spare time, I can be found at the beach soaking up the sun, taking yoga classes, trying out new recipes in the kitchen, or with a camera in hand practising my photography skills.

What would you sing at karaoke night?

Bohemian Rhapsody by Queen (I'd pull a group of friends on stage with me to help out with this one).

Tell us something we don’t know about you?

I love doing volunteer work abroad. In the past, I have volunteered with orphaned children in Peru, helped to build a daycare centre and storm shelter in the Philippines, and contributed to solar lighting projects abroad. It was really excited to find out we will be cooking with OzHarvest on my first day with ProQuest. I couldn't wish better alignment with company values, could I?

What is the one website (or app) you can’t live without?

Instagram. I love that it enables creativity through photography and social interactions.

What is your favourite place to go in Sydney?

My favourite place to be in Sydney is on the balcony of my apartment in Coogee that overlooks the ocean. It's the best spot to sit and relax at the end of a long day.

What attracted you to ProQuest?

I really liked the emphasis of the management team on building out and maintaining an amazing company culture. Company culture is a big differentiator in this day and I believe that if it is important to the company, it shows the company really cares about its employees.

Secondly, the more I researched ProQuest and Aymeric, the more I understood his involvement with the entire organisation and investment in the future and successes of his employees. It is not often that you have such an involved CEO and I think that is truly special.

What is your favourite part about working at ProQuest so far?

It's been getting to know all of the employees of the company.  I am very employee focused and think it is fascinating to learn about the different backgrounds and personalities of my colleagues. I was lucky enough to start the week of the Christmas party, so I was able to interact with everyone outside of the office environment, which was really good fun.

Welcome to ProQuest, Kate! We’re lucky to have you here.
