After starting his Aussie tech journey with us, he’s circled back with fresh ideas, new experiences, and the same positive energy we all know and love. And spoiler alert: it feels less like starting over and more like picking up right where he left off.
Starting Out Strong
Sunny’s ProQuest journey began a few years ago, and it was a career-defining chapter. From day one, he was surrounded by a team that felt more like friends and jumped into projects that stretched his skills and confidence.
“It was always something new, and that made it exciting,” he says. “The culture was great. Everyone knew everyone.” Those first three years built a solid foundation, but Sunny knew there was more to learn beyond the consulting world.
From Builder to Strategist
In his previous role as a developer, Sunny focused on building and implementing solutions. But curiosity kicked in. He wanted to understand how things worked inside a business, not just deliver technology from the outside.
Working client side flipped everything. “It really opened my eyes,” he says. “I got to see how decisions are made and how projects run.”
He dove deeper into Salesforce, explored AI tools like Agentforce and Service Cloud Voice, and sharpened his strategic thinking. Most importantly, he learned how technology fits into the bigger business picture, insights he was eager to bring back to ProQuest.
Why Coming Back Felt Right
For Sunny, the decision to return came down to two things that mattered equally: the people and the opportunity. Most of the teammates he once worked with are still here, and many had stayed in touch over the years. That sense of connection and familiarity made the idea of coming back feel natural.
At the same time, Sunny knew it was the perfect moment to put everything he had learned into action. He was ready for a change of pace, new responsibilities, and the chance to make a bigger impact. ProQuest, with its smaller size, fast pace, and ability to adapt quickly, felt like the right place to do that.
Walking back through the doors did not feel like starting over. It felt like the next chapter, where he could grow alongside the people who helped shape the start of his journey.

Looking ahead, his focus is on making the most of his Salesforce expertise, exploring new ways to use AI, and tackling bigger, more complex challenges. He wants to help ProQuest stay ahead both internally and for clients, and he is ready to jump in wherever he is needed to make that happen.
