We asked Ben a few questions to get to know him a bit better…
What part of Salesforce do you love the most? Why?
What I love most about Salesforce is its versatility. It can be used in any business to drive efficiency and effectiveness, and the key is understanding how to unlock its full potential. Every use case is unique, which makes problem-solving exciting and keeps the learning process fun. I also love that Salesforce is always innovating, especially with AI, so there is always something new to explore and improve.
What do you like to do for fun when you’re not working:
Outside of work, I love staying active with triathlon training alongside a few friends. Fitness has always been a passion, and I even worked as a personal trainer before moving into tech.
I also enjoy gaming, especially competitive titles like Valorant and Rocket League, and I occasionally stream for fun.
When I’m unwinding, I like watching YouTube or catching shows like Invincible and Reacher on Amazon Prime. I also enjoy spending time with my wife, going for walks, and helping out with our church.
What would you sing at Karaoke night?
My go-to karaoke songs would definitely be Rosanna or Africa by Toto. I’m a big fan of their music because they are classic, timeless, and full of great songs.
One of my best memories was at a music festival when a remix of Africa started playing just as I got lifted onto my friend’s shoulders. Next thing I knew, I was on the big screen, way above the crowd, thinking, ‘This is the best.’ It was a once-in-a-lifetime moment.
What is the one website (or app) you can’t live without?
The one app I can’t live without is YouTube. It’s my go-to for relaxing, catching up on content from my favorite creators, and figuring things out when I need help. Whether it’s gaming videos from channels like SMii7y and Sidemen or even learning how to fix a dishwasher, YouTube always has something useful or entertaining to offer.
What is your favourite part of working from home?
My favorite part of working from home is having extra time in the morning, whether it’s getting a bit more sleep or fitting in a training session. It’s a great way to start the day feeling refreshed and ready to go.
What is your favourite restaurant or go-to food in Australia?
My go-to food in Australia is Ogalo. Their Portuguese chicken burgers are next level, especially with the way the chicken is spiced. It’s always a solid choice when I’m craving something tasty.
What attracted you to ProQuest?
I first heard about ProQuest from my old colleague Aiden, who had worked with the team before. Later, I met Nik through a church conference and learned more about the company. What really attracted me was the team's commitment to excellence, their high standards, and the strong sense of teamwork. I love the idea of learning from the best and succeeding together as a team. I don’t want to build solutions that someone has to fix later. I want to build the best quality solutions from the start, and that is exactly what ProQuest does.
What is your favourite part about working at ProQuest so far?
My favorite part about working at ProQuest so far is the team. When I came into the office on Tuesday, everyone was so happy to see each other, and the energy was great. I also noticed how people were checking in with the team in Brisbane about their current situations. It is really cool to be part of a team that genuinely cares for each other and works so well together.
We’re excited to have Ben on board and can’t wait to see the impact he’ll make for our customers. Welcome to the team, Ben!
