Spin 4 Kids: Riding for Kids Who Did Not Get to Choose Their Battle

On Friday, 20 February, the room was electric. Fifteen teams. Music pumping. Adrenaline high. A bit of friendly rivalry and a shared sense that we were part of something bigger than ourselves.

Team ProQuest SpinForce jumped on the bikes for Spin 4 Kids in support of Variety NSW/ACT. It was fun. It was loud. It was challenging. But behind every kilometre was a reason that mattered far more than the scoreboard.

Some children are living with serious illness, disability or hardship that they never chose and cannot control. We signed up for a tough ride. They are navigating tough realities every single day.

The funds raised go towards practical support that changes everyday life. Specialised mobility equipment. Access to therapy. Programs that build confidence and inclusion. Support that gives families breathing space when they need it most.

The Impact Your Support Creates

For a child, the right equipment can mean freedom. It can mean joining in instead of watching from the sidelines. For a family under pressure, it can mean relief, reassurance and hope.

Because of the incredible generosity of our community, we have surpassed our original fundraising goal. We set out to raise $2,500, and together we have raised $3,542.

To everyone who donated, shared our page, sent encouragement or supported the team in any way, thank you. You helped turn a few hours on a bike into meaningful change for children and families who truly need it.

Donations are still open, and every additional contribution continues to support children living with greater confidence, opportunity and inclusion.

If you would like to extend the impact even further, you can still make a difference here.

Thank you for standing with the kids who need it most 💛

Spirit of Spin

Somewhere between the music, the sweat and the final sprint, we managed to take home the Spirit of Spin Award for unstoppable energy, team spirit and contagious enthusiasm.

We will absolutely take that.

The room was loud. The competition was real. The vibes were high. And our team showed up exactly as we do best, backing each other, bringing the noise and putting the fun into fundraising.

A trophy is great. But knowing that energy helped drive real support for kids who need it most makes it even better 💛
