Meet Victoria: New Employee Experience Manager
Meet our new Employee Experience Manager, Victoria! With over 10 years of IT Recruitment Experience and recent Project Coordinator experience coupled with her enthusiastic personality, Victoria is a valuable asset to our ProQuest team. Victoria excels at assisting our employees with internal initiatives and ensuring that ProQuest maintains its exceptional team environment. New to the Salesforce ecosystem, Victoria is keen to expand her product and industry knowledge, sharing ideas and becoming a valuable contributor to the Salesforce community, while supporting our team along the way.
We asked Victoria a few questions to get to know her a bit better…
What part of Salesforce do you love the most? Why?
As someone who is always keen to learn new things, Salesforce is a great platform that allows just that. They support and encourage everyone in their ecosystem to keep upskilling and as an ever-evolving solution you need to make sure you’re on top of these changes to keep up to date. It’s great that I can leverage new innovations to improve my work and assist others in performing their tasks more effectively.
What do you like to do for fun when you’re not working?
When I’m not running after my two boys I enjoy attending various wine and food festivals, as a wine enthusiast I love meeting the producers and learning about their latest wines. I’m also currently redecorating so am in the process of hunting one off pieces or repurposed items.
What would you sing at Karaoke night?
I wouldn’t say I’m a massive karaoke fan but I would probably sing “Heard It All Before” by Sunshine Anderson – it’s probably the only song I know all the words to or maybe “Despacito” by Luis Fonsi to improve my Spanish.
What is the one website (or app) you can’t live without?
For me, it’s Spotify. I think I’ve had an account since they were founded! I have so many playlists now to match different moods and having used it for so long I think their algorithm knows me so well that it always suggests great music for me to explore.
What is your favourite part of working from home?
The flexibility it offers. Working from home makes it so much more convenient for me to manage my schedule and do pick ups or drop offs at daycare. We use so many great tools at ProQuest too that make it easy to communicate with the team and enhance collaboration.
What is your favourite restaurant or go-to food in Sydney/Australia?
Dumplings! Coming from the UK we have great Indian food, which would be my usual go to but Sydney has amazing Chinese cuisine.
What attracted you to ProQuest?
Mainly ProQuest’s focus on development. They promote continual learning and teamwork, from the very beginning it was clear that ProQuest values its people and there is a genuine enthusiasm to work together, learn from each other and exceed expectations.
What is your favourite part about working at ProQuest so far?
The team is great, they are incredibly supportive and everyone seems to genuinely want to help each other to make sure we can achieve our goals for our customers.
